El Valle de la Luna (The Valley of the Moon) sticklebatts are based on this beautiful location in northern Chile’s Atacama Desert. These batts do not have fleece, but are made with 30% Andean Mountain wool - a new wool we are trying for the first time - blended with alpaca and our usual merino, polwarth, silk, noil, etc. The Andean Mt. wool has an open, woolly texture easy to draft, and is of medium fineness, at about 26 microns. We chose to leave it and the alpaca undyed, giving these batts a complex, earthy quality.
All batts are lovingly blended hand dyed fibers, carded by hand on fine tooth drum carders for your fiber crafting pleasure.
Please know that all fibers are felt able unless otherwise noted. Handwash and air dry to avoid felting.
Every attempt is made to provide accurate photographs; however, be aware that color may vary from monitor to monitor ( background is white in reality if that helps!)
As always, if you have any questions, please send me a convo. I would love to hear from you!
