A note about the Nash Island - For those not familiar with this fleece, here's a post on Mary Jane Mucklestone's blog about a trip there, and a little about the history of the flock. It's not super-soft and cottony like cormo, but has a great texture and sheen, more like a long-wool, but not as much as, say, mohair - perhaps similar to Romney. It reminds us most of North Ronaldsay wool, which sheep also is a seaweed-eater :-)
Please note that the fleece in these batts is fresh from the farm! We have taken much time to wash and pick through it, but expect a little bit of vm here and there - the sign of real organic wool!
Please know that all fibers are feltable unless otherwise noted. Handwash and air dry to avoid felting.
