Merino and cashmere make this a lusciously soft fiber. Merino is a fine wool great for next to the skin garments. It has a lot of crimp, which means elasticity in a handspun yarn. Merino typically has a staple length of 2-5 inches, making it more difficult to spin for beginners, but great for spinning laceweight yarn. Cashmere, also a very fine fiber, is known for its softness, lightness, and warmth. Nylon adds strength and since this is a superwash fiber, you can wash it in a machine without it felting or shrinking. *Information from The Fleece & Fiber Sourcebook by Deborah Robson and Carol Ekarius.

A new blend we are testing out- this as a lovely sock blend.

I take great care to make sure that dye is sufficiently exhausted and heat set the fibers so there is minimal to no run-off. However, due to differences in water across the globe, what runs clear for me may bleed a little for you. Please take care to hand wash your finished item in cool water and lay flat to dry. I also make every attempt possible to use a photograph that is as true as possible to the real color. Monitor settings may vary.
