Based on my visits to several medieval Cloisters at churches in Italy.
I just loved being able to sneak into these havens of quiet and peace. The churches were busy, full of people, and bustling. But few people found their way into the cloister. It was amazingly easy to imagine yourself back in time and appreciating the importance of these private areas for reflection. The beautiful carved columns and unique playful capitals were so astonishing. In my imagination the colorway needed to be mostly stone with sparks of various beautiful colors- the lavender and greens from the plants and shrubs planted there, gold and rusts for the various antiquities found in excavations and stored in the cloister as an outdoor museum, and the blues for the water fountains often found there.
All batts are lovingly blended hand dyed fibers, carded by hand on fine tooth drum carders for your fiber crafting pleasure.
Please know that all fibers are feltable unless otherwise noted. Handwash and air dry to avoid felting. Every attempt is made to provide accurate photographs; however, be aware that color may vary from monitor to monitor ( background is white in reality if that helps!)
